Teaching by distance in the first instance during the autumn semester. MDH’s Vice-Chancellor Paul Pettersson has decided that MDH will conduct teaching and examinations by distance during the summer and autumn semesters 2021, but also that the decision will be reviewed as soon as the situation regarding the pandemic makes this possible. MDH has campuses at two cities, Eskilstuna and Västerås, which are easy to reach wherever you are. Both cities are situated in an expansive region with good communications. The Eskilstuna campus is just a five-minute walk from the central station. The walk to the Västerås campus from the central station takes around 15 minutes.

MDH’s activities in Eskilstuna are today spread among several industrial premises from the 1800s in the centre of Eskilstuna. To create a living and modern campus where all activities are gathered in one place, MDH, together with Eskilstuna Municipality, are building a new campus in the heart of the city. Mälardalen University (Swedish: Mälardalens högskola), or MDH, is a university college (högskola) located in Västerås and Eskilstuna, Sweden. It has 16,000 students and around 1000 employees, of which 91 are professors , 504 teachers, and 215 doctoral students. [2] Mälardalens Högskola is one of the largest universities in Sweden with almost 16 000 students and 900 employees in the two cities of Eskilstuna and Västerås. The university and Eskilstuna municipality have together invested in a new campus in central Eskilstuna. The build started back in 2017 and the new premises have been in partial use since March 30th but the official inauguration has been postponed and will be arranged this fall.
